Zimbabwe will this year be represented by Haus Of Stone at the annual GTbank Fashion Weekend.

The event hosted by GTBank Nigeria in will run from November 9-10 in Lagos.

Haus Of Stone who have dressed personalities such as Tamy Moyo, Ammara Brown and Gemma Griffiths will showcase their latest collection called Seed of Esther (Chapter Two) at the festival.

“This summer season you will be experiencing a lot of layering, loose fits and flowy, brought together with soft heavenly pastel shades inspired by the rocks at Christon Bank, Zimbabwe,” said Haus of Stone representative, Danayi Madondo.

“Seed Of Esther (S o E) 20 campaign explores mythological biblical themes. The gates of ‘S o E’ is an imaginary gateway to a place where dreams go to flourish, a space of escapism and replenishment.

“An ode to inter-dimensional travels and discovering new worlds where angelic godly beings convene,” added Madondo.

But, Zimbabwe will also have another outstanding brand representing in Nigeria and that is fashion facilitator and global citizen, Gilmore Tee.

“The only way we can do better in our own industries is when we learn from those that are doing well. I am constantly attending these events around the world because I would like to see how they implement their initiatives and also bring that back home,” said Gilmore.

As someone who is currently working on launching a Pan-African fashion platform, Gilmore revealed that such shows will connect him to various players dominating the fashion space on the continent.

“Lagos is now the capital of Fashion in Africa, I am really excited to be attending the GTbank Fashion Weekend and also experience Haus Of Stone showcasing.”

The GTbank Fashion Weekend has hosted some of Africa’s leading designers such as David Tlale, Adama Paris and International Acclaimed Fashion Gurus – Jay Manuel and Laquan Smith.
