City sports bar’s ‘Bulawayo meets Harare Jam Session’ held in Harare proved to be a hit this past Tuesday. The show was moved to Tuesday after an electrical fault that resulted in a total blackout on Monday.

This blackout angered the patrons who had already packed the venue ready to enjoy the gig.

Even more people attended the Tuesday show. The crème de la crème of the night was Sandra Ndebele. They would not let her leave the stage.

At first the audience had doubts that Sandra could still gyrate the way she used to with her recent weight gain, she performed effortlessly. Jeys Marabini and Albert Nyathi can only be defined as madhara emangoma (the real seasoned experts). They nailed it to the bone and left their fans craving more.

Mzoe 7s famous song ‘Kwasa Kwasa’ was overtaken by the brand new track ‘Chihuta’ that he had just introduced. Kessia, Tendai Chimombe and Bev were some of the performers representing Harare with some guest appearances from Zoey and Lady Storm.

“Hopefully they are going to bring us more Bulawayo artists in Harare, I really enjoyed the show,” said Emmanuel Karinda.

Hwabaraty, an upcoming Bulawayo artist was also a darling of the crowd. The audience enjoyed his track ‘Skhananda’ from his upcoming album that is going to be released in two weeks.
