After breaking onto the music scene with his hit single, ‘Moyo Muti’ last year, R&B musician, Nyasha David has captured the attention of many music enthusiasts locally and internationally.

The energetic performer who has been touring China and other countries frequently in the past year will this month drop his brand new single, ‘Missing You’, which features reggae music legends, Denroy Morgan and Gramps Morgan.

Zimbo Jam caught up with the musician and he explained how he linked up with the Morgan family.

“Morgan Heritage has an initiative that sees them collaborate with African artists. Through their agents, who help them scout for who they can collaborate with, they located me,” shared Nyasha.

“The talent scout that located me is Marvin from Uganda. He bumped into my single Moyo Muti and then one thing led to the other and we ended up working with the royal family of reggae,” he shared.

He highlighted that the song was produced in the USA.

“The track was produced at their Stable in Atlanta America by their resident producer there. From our stable at Jacaranda Culture and Media Corporation it was a joint production between our resident producers Hughclaid Kalino and Gilbert “Boss Gidza” Gwatidzo of Fusion 5 Mangwiro,” he explained.

The track will initially be released as the lead single and title track for David’s EP called “Missing You”.

“Plans for the video are being made, we are looking to shoot it in New York America to which I’m supposed to travel this June.”

Nyasha David this year will be releasing an EP of five tracks and two bonus songs called ‘Advocate of Love/Gweta ReRudo’ later this month.

“Moyo Muti is one of the singles on that EP. Other songs to look out for are Zvakarongwa featuring Trevor Dongo and Zvakakwanirana newe featuring Cindy Munyavi among many others,” he revealed.
