It’s a Friday in a chilly Harare, there surely is no better place to turn up and warm up than at the rhumba nights hosted by Diamond Musica.
The build up to show was very dull. No tangible euphoria in the atmosphere as is the case when international acts are coming into the country or when an artist is about to launch a new project as is the case with Alick Macheso on June 8.
Zimbabwe’s leading rhumba outfit, Diamond Music is planning to blow the roof off the Jazz 24/7 when it stages its gig on Friday June 23.
2016 ends on a special note for rhumba lovers as a new festival is set to be birthed on Saturday, December 31, catering for rhumba enthusiasts.
The renowned rhumba outfit, Diamond Musica, set to release a new single this month and a new album early 2017, has made a few new changes to its band, including, we’re told, adding female dancers from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to its line-up and changing its management.
