Soul Jah Love is currently one of the trending artists on the Zim showbiz scene with chart topping tracks such as Pamamonya, Mwana wa Stembeni and Zvinhu amongst many others.

So far it has seemingly been a good year for the chanter under his new management led by Jive Zimbabwe front man, Benjamin Nyandoro.

On the surface it looks as if Jah Love is turning a new leaf, but deep inside nothing much has changed.

One of the major weaknesses that Jah Love has is failing to make it to gigs.

This has been a challenge for him since he started off his career and his behavior lately shows that he has become a high risk entertainer who is booked at promoters risk.

Over the weekend, on Saturday to be specific, the chanter had four gigs. Three in the CBD and one in Kadoma.

In Harare, he managed to attend all shows but after staging a pathetic set at Shoko Festival which ended around midnight, he then failed to show up for his fourth gig in Kadoma.

Sadly, equipment was vandalized and people got injured as fans protested demanding Jah Love to perform.

A few weeks back, Nyandoro, is alleged to have been left with an egg on his face after Soul Jah Love only arrived at the venue at 5 am and yet he was billed to perform at midnight.

This indiscipline will cost Jah Love in  future if he doesn’t take measures to change.

However, though the chanter has had many managers in his career, and still has maintained this unacceptable behaviour, others are blaming Nyandoro for failing to have a grip on his artist.

One such individual is music promoter, Simbarashe Chakare who went on Facebook and labelled Nyandoro a failure.

“But Benji Nyandoro kana usingagone kumanager Jah Love gara pasi (if you are failing to manage Jah Love sit down),” read Chakare’s statement.

He went on to ask what Nyandoro was teaching Soul Jah Love and highlighted that it appears everything he touches flops.
