Award-winning gospel music singer, Thembalami is making eaves in Kenya with his new single ‘Waweza’ on which he features Costa Rican vocalist, Sofi Mendez.
The song is now topping the charts on Kenyan airwaves and Thembalami says the project is pioneering several others that he is set to achieve in the coming year.
“Waweza is KiSwahili for “He is able” and it features vivacious Costa Rican, Sofi Mendez. Sofi has been a key Gospel artist, vocal coach and capacity building activist around Africa,” shared Thembalami.
Mendez has worked on various projects with renowned musicians like Nigeria’s Sinach.
“Her outstanding accolade is her Latina side of art which boasts of crazy hyper praise dance moves through which she has been endeared to many. We are both looking forward to work together on more songs.”
Thembalami has been keeping a low profile while working on his singles; the most outstanding being ‘Mirira’ which landed him several nominations in the just ended Permican Awards.
“All is set for 2020! Gospel music lovers can look forward to a whole treat from as I look to minister to both local audiences as well as the entire SADC region,” shared the singer.
