It has been an amazing run from multi award-winning gospel music singer, Janet Mnyowa over the past 10 years.

Credit must be given to her as being the most consistent female act of the decade, she really deserves a Grammy for defying the odds in this male dominated sector.

On Saturday she dropped two new projects, taking the tally of her albums to five.

Massive for a lady in Zimbabwe!

But where to now for the Vaudze singer?

She has done it all, fried, dried, boiled and even parboiled, Janet has changed the game in Zim showbiz not only for the gospel folks but right across the music streets.

Talk of fire on stage, doing videos in the rain, dope visuals accompanied by white horses and all the razzmatazz that comes with producing alluring visuals, Janet has done it all.

Collaborations which many clamor for, she has been there and done it with all the hotshots in the country and some from the region.

So where to now for the singer and her twins – the brand-new albums?

With her trusted music director, who has seen her game improving remarkably in recent years, Mark Madzinga now no longer part of her team, a lot of questions come to mind.

Will she be getting the services of another bigshot producer/pianist, or will she let her bassist, Tinos lead the troops as he has been doing lately?

Will her next projects all be live recordings as was the case with the epic and her only live recorded album, ‘Father’s House’ or shall we see her go the usual route of working in a studio with kingpins such as Tremier Msipa and Andrew Baird?

However, while we wait to see which direction she takes, renowned musician and pastor, Prince Mafukidze believes that Janet has done so very well over the years and is one of the reasons why he has not been releasing music.

Speaking at the 7Arts Theatre where the two albums were launched this is what the Ndofamba singer had to say, “I am going to come back after a year or two to record. But the way you have taken the baton away from us that came before you, it has been such a joy and pleasure to watch you run and take things to the next level.

“It has become so comfortable for me to sit back and watch you do your thing alongside the likes of Minister Mahendere,” said Pastor Prince.
